At last, another Whitney on this site! I'm pretty sure my hubby is a descendant of the John Whitney line (rather than Henry or Samuel). How about you?
Anyway - on topic - Welcome home to the group. We're thrilled that you followed us to the new site. I have a feeling the writers' areas will be considerably more busy on this new platform than was the case with the old MSN site. Darren Foster has set up his Screenwriters Corner which you should consider joining. I also noticed that screenplays are being discussed in Haylar's (303) to (310) Corner. Of course there's the Screenwriters Forum which is always open to all CASA members, as well. I'll be kicking off the Group Therapy of Characters Corner in the near future (still working out some technical issus) and I hope to eventually introduce a concept called "Screen Play" in early 2009.
I noticed that you still have the CASA Hairy Eyeball for your main photo. Pretty awful isn't it? The best size photo or icon is 183X183px. There's tips on how to customize your My Page in the Kicking the Tires Forum and a Need Help? link in the right hand table. If you want to post a comment or send a message to me just click on my icon and you'll be taken to my page. - Happy writing & networking. Cheryl
Just so happens I'm looking out at a palm tree in Houston. The weather is a bit cold (41 degrees) for Houston today and a few days ago it actually snowed here (saw it with my own eyes). This weekend it was in the low-70's - so no complaints.
I feel your pain with the cold weather. I am at work, and I am practically hugging my little space heater. My boss is laughing at me :) Do you have a myspace page? If you do send me a friend request: http://www.myspace.com/kashafa
I am also in the process of building my own website, but its not finished yet. Almost there...http://www.actresskasha.com/
I dabble in everything. I write for a local newspaper in Niwot. I have written 3 plays 2 full lengths and one short. I write a lot of short stories, some of those have developed into scripts. Have you started writing? The key for me is to just keep writing. That is different for everyone, I know. I find if I stop writing it is harder from me to get back into it. Let me know if this helps or if you have anymore questions. I would also like to know if you are working on anything? What you like to write?
Yes, the sandpiper apts are still around. I am very much into acting, singing, would love to get more into writing, at this time it's mostly poetry, but, I have gotten some good ideas from that. Mostly I love to act though! Look forward to meeting you at the next GA??
Hey Bill, I would mind at all working together. I'm not going to lie, I have no clue where Applewood is but if you are close, even better. Just to let you know, I am writing an outline for a horror flick at the moment. Are you into horror flicks.
Wow! I have been so busy at work, I just don't ever get on the computer to do the fun stuff very often! How did your visit with Haylar go? He seems like a really great person, with so much enthusiasm for film. I'll bet he is a gas on set. How's everything else with you?
hey there,
Firestone is out by Longmont. I am sorry that I have not been on here in forever. As of right now the writing is slow...or I should say screen and play writing. I am working on art and poetry as of right now. My life gets in the way of life and there is not enough time in a day for me. LOL ! I am sure it is like that for everyone. How is writing going for you?
Cheers
Heather

Hey WC, thanks for the friend add. Maybe we should start a bimonthly writing workshop. I'm currently looking for an agent or manager to help get several of my scripts placed. There's got to be a place for us Colorado folk in the screenplay field.

Sounds good. Let's see if we can motivate any other aspiring writers out there to participate, then we can conference online and see when and where would be the best places to meet.

I would love to but I can't afford the cost right now. Got 5 mouths to feed and little money to feed them with right now. But things go in cycles. I'm sure another opportunity will come up when the time is right.
Hello there! I just joined here. Please check out my profile and add me as a friend here please if you like! I am in Denver now but will be in Florida till Spring. I am looking for local films to get involved with. I also own a full studio just north of Tampa Florida if you ever shoot out there let me know! I will put up photos soon.
I'd be happy to help with your formatting challenge. Why don't you give me a call so we can talk rather than type.
