About "Set Apart"

Thanks for the positive words.


"Set Apart" was shot a year ago last June. We had six days of shooting in L.A. and 3 weeks in South Dakota.


It was in post for about a year and the production company we worked with in L.A., Hemisphere Entertainment just signed a distribution deal with Sony Pictures after 5 months of negotiations.


The Hemisphere folks are an experienced team. The three partners, Ralph Portillio, Jamie Elliot and Brad Wilson have made over 60 Films in their careers.


Brad ran Robert Duvall's Production Company for eleven years. During that time they made "Lonesome Dove", "Falling Down", and numerous other films.


Well, for "Set Apart" I wound up writing the Screenplay and being one of the Producers. Now a few other projects are in the works. Some related to "Set Apart" and a few that are in other directions.

Brad Wilson occasionally teaches an Acting for the Camera Workshop in which he shares a great deal of the techniques he's learned in the many years he worked so closely with Duvall.

He's taught a few here in Colorado in the last year or two. Several CASA members have attended, (including Patrick Sheridan). Brad will probably be coming back next year to do another. I'll keep you posted.
