Screenwriters group forming soon

Any screenwriters wanting to 1) Learn the art of screenwriting, 2) Study structure and storytelling (3 Act plays), and 3) Build a support group for your script? Come join us for a newly forming screenwriters group starting in March 2012. Each month we will cover a topic of interest and invite guest lecturers to come and speak to the group. Who's interested? I am taking emails and currently trying to find a Denver-metro location that we can meet at. Free, and not a Starbucks because the group will be focused on learning not socializing. Anybody have a location idea I can pursue? I'm checking libraries and The Bug.

Hey mark what do you want to do for the next meeting?

I am hoping to get some feedback on writers willing to join the group.  The Bug offered their support.  And I've check with the Denver Public Libraries to see about meeting space.  Too, the Colorado Film School has an excellent Viewing Room which would be perfect - and centrally located in Aurora for front-range writers.  However, no replaies back thus far.

Regardless of finding a meeting space, let's still move forward.  If nothing else, I am open to meeting adjunct places (ie. Starbucks, library branches, the prison visitors' room at Quincy & Kipling, etc.)  or even my house.  Bill Whitney, next week let's get together for another planning meeting to pin some place(s) and start the postings for a March date.

The GM at Regal Theaters has graciously allowed the Colorado Screenwriters group to meet TWICE a month.  That will give the group more chances to learn, review and critique scripts.  Plus, if you have to miss one month, you won't feel like you're losing so much momentum with the group. Godspeed!
