All-Animation movies down at The Bug Theatre tomorrow night (Sept. 15th)

So for a while now, we've been trying to get a night of all-animation shorts together for the Emerging Filmmakers Project down at The Bug Theatre (3654 NAvajo St.)  Why? Well, why not? There is a lot of animated work being done along the Front Range (though I had a lot of trouble finding them). Also, animated movies still need actors for voice over so having a night of animated films seemed like a good thing for our acting community to check out. 

 

For the longest time, I had only one movie confirmed, Will Forrester's Blood Trail. I knew about this movie because, well, I provide one of the voices, that of a forty-ish jerk (type cast even in animation!).  Just when I was about to give up and schedule non-animated movies, Gio Toninelo, founder of the G.I. Joe Stop-Motion Film Festival, and Dylan Otto Krider of the Ones and Zeros Pixel Show came to my rescue and helped create an amazing line up of movies.

 

The good news is we have an unbelievable night of animated movies down at The Bug Theatre (3654 Navajo St., Denver 80211).  The bad news is we didn't leave ourselves any time to actually promote the event. So here's some of you get this in time and come check it.

Unlike most EFP's, this month also features a few movies from out-of-towners who had their work shown at area festivals, including past award winners from the G.I. Joe Stop-Motion Film Festival and the One and Zero Pixel Show!

Show starts at 8:00 and tickets are $5. The EFP has been showcasing the best of Denver's new and established local filmmakers the third Thursday of every month since 2002! To date, the EFP has screened nearly 700 locally-produced movies, docs, music videos, animated shorts and more!
