At the audition, please have any monologue of your pick prepared. Keep in mind that, although it is a silent film, it is magical-realism and has a sense of quiet eeriness that flows through. Hi Rebecca,
I was thinking you as a possibility for a part in a short, silent, magical-realism film, for which we are casting right now. Would you be interested in an audition for the part of the mother? She is around 30 years old, and is at the park with her seven year old son. She mainly is reading the paper on the bench, and in the end, she reads that there had been kidnapping in the area, she becomes startled looking for her child, who she does not immediately see. When he emerges from the woods bordering the park, she runs to him, picks him up, and carries him, running, out of the park. That is essentially the role, although a very brief summary. The story has a very mystical current that runs through it. We are hoping to shoot ASAP. Please let me know if you might be interested.
