When ten year old Casey Dunbar uncovers a mysterious Red Ball, she has no idea what evil
is about to be released. Inside the red outer shell, harnesses a gateway to hell which is so
diabolical, that it lures the innocent in, in order to use their bodies as hosts to demons. Naive
Casey begins playing with the Red Ball and soon becomes literally attached to it. A demon
possesses her soul and she begins looking for a mother figure to take with her to hell.
Meanwhile, the small, mountain town of Aversion Falls has its demons of its own. Seeded in
the heart of the town is a rivalry of two families which is dividing the community in half with the
Sheriff stuck in the middle. It's nothing new for Colt O'Callahan though, he's always been the
balancing factor in Aversion Falls. Armed with a Colt .45 and a doctorate in Psychology, Colt
keeps the peace using his intellect and knowledge of human nature but is no stranger to the
use of firearms. Colt is married to Rebecca Younger-O'Callahan, who is the mayor of
Aversion Falls. Rebecca is a strong woman who says what she means, regardless of the
consequences or whose feelings might get hurt. Her strength she inherited from her father,
Sheriff Younger. Her brother, Bobby Jim “BJ” Younger, on the other hand, is a deputy so down
on his luck, that we are witnessing him hitting rock bottom. BJ is now finding out what kind of
man his father really was. It is because of Sheriff Younger, that there is a rivalry in Aversion
Falls in the first place. On the other side of the rivalry is the Mayfield family. Winston Mayfield
is the city judge and the heir of the Mayfield mines and businesses. His wife, Eve Mayfield,
has such dastardly thoughts that she makes Lady Macbeth look like Mother Theresa.
Sensing a new evil in town, Native American shaman, Phoenix Red Feather, prepares to fight
the demon. She tries to convince her granddaughter, Eagle, that it is her calling, but Eagle
doesn't want to have anything to do with the old traditions.
With the introduction of the Red Ball in Aversion Falls, is anyone safe? Will the community
unite to fight the evil forces or will they be further torn apart. Tune in weekly to SPIRIT CREEK
to find out.
