The Barking Horse

The Barking Horse is a lyrical, three minute film about loss, love and a dog named Horse. People have called it inspiring, awesome, confusing, brilliant, moving, and beautiful. You decide. With CASA Members Patrick Sheridan and Christine McQuillen.

Profile Information

Are you a former member of CASA on MSN Groups? If not, are you a resident of Colorado?
yes
How are you involved in Colorado's Film Industry? (Actor, Writer, Filmmaker, Crew, etc)
Writer, director...actor when someone doesn't show up and I leave producing to others!
Tell us about yourself and/or how CASA can help?
CASA is a great resource for workshopping scripts, meeting actors and crew members and keeping up with the going ons in town. But like so many things, the more you put into it, the more you get from it. Every project I've worked on (and everyone moving forward) will rely heavily on CASA actors, crews and friends to help me make the best possible movies. CASA rocks.

All-Animation movies down at The Bug Theatre tomorrow night (Sept. 15th)

So for a while now, we've been trying to get a night of all-animation shorts together for the Emerging Filmmakers Project down at The Bug Theatre (3654 NAvajo St.)  Why? Well, why not? There is a lot of animated work being done along the Front Range (though I had a lot of trouble finding them). Also, animated movies still need actors for voice over so having a night of animated films seemed like a good thing for our acting community to check out.

For the longest time, I had…

Wendy's commercial shoot in Denver

Got this from my friend Tom Anderson over at the Greenwood Village Signs by Tomorrow. He's a member of the Denver Creative Connections and this got sent to his group.  He thought I might know some people interested in this.  Looks legit, but, as always, do your homework.

Hi,

I'm working with a advertising firm in New York that's casting Actors in the denver area for a Wendy's TV Commercial.

We need help finding anyone that would like to shoot and…

What do I know about selling a script for TV?

I get asked a lot about writing and selling scripts for television. Why this is, I don't really know because the short anwer is: Not much!

Several years ago, writing for TV was a possible path for me and I wrote a couple of spec scripts, had a few meetings and had an opportunity to join a staff…

I'm not sure, but I think you have to be an administrator to start your own group. I noticed when I sign-in as DS StudioWorks, there is no section that allows me to start my own sub-group.
To send a private message, you have to go to that person's page and click "Send a Message", and that goes to their Inbox.

Okay, now I'm signed in through DS StudioWorks (a non-admin account). Nope. I can't start a sub-group of my own. The other concern is non-admin members inviting others to join. I don't know if they go through an admin to get approved or not. Let me try while I'm signed on now.

Hhhmm. I signed as DS Studioworks, then i invited myself (aka Dave the man, yet another email account of mine), then Dave the man recieved an invitation, but is waiting for an administrator to approve his membership.
So, what will happen is, members are going to invite others to join, but they still have to be approved my an administrator. BTW- You can reject Dave the man. he's not real.

By the way, Patrick... did I ever mention that you're an incredible spokesperson for our group? Most of us, okay... maybe not Don...(but that's his official CASA job)... but the rest of us think you're an awesome GA Emcee and mentor. It's been a true honor to have you as one of our leaders. I know it doesn't say enough, but seriously.... Thank you Patrick, you rule!

How about we volunteer you to decided which pages point the way. We have a Facebook feature available on Ning that will allow people to share the photo pages and link on their Facebook pages. I haven't had a chance to research this. What do you think?
