Welcome to the community! -- Cheryl
Glad you joined. I'm so enjoying working with you. I thought that tonight's show went well. I just got home and fed the dog. Aaaaaagh. It's already 11:20. Have a great Thanksgiving. Nice photo.

We just found out today that the workshops have been canceled--Lana has strep, and a few projects came into Portland that really need her attention. I definitely plan on bringing her out sometime in the future, and next time we'll have more time to prepare!
In the meantime, this may answer your question:
Q: How do I know if I should attend the Beginning or the Intermediate/Advanced session?
A: If you have little to no acting experience, do not have a resume or professional headshot, do not have on-camera experience, do not have an agent, or have never auditioned for a film or commercial casting director, you should attend the Beginning session.
If you are experienced, have a headshot and resume, have on-camera experience, have an agent, and have auditioned for a film or commercial casting director, you should attend the Intermediate/Advanced session.
If you are an experienced theatre actor, but are new to the world of film, television, commercials, agents and casting directors, you may want to start with the Beginner session.
“Skeletons” is a story about family, devotion, love, art, crime, guilt, bad habits, and the way we cling to our kin like anchors in the ocean of crazy life.
AUDITIONS: Wednesday October 14th, 7pm – 9pm at the John Hand Theater, Room 206.
Please send photo and resume to kris_hipps@yahoo.com
SHOOT DATES: Sunday October 25th, noon to 4pm, and Tuesday October 27th 4pm – 10pm.
Gary Otte will act as DP on the project.
*There will also be a casual, partly-improvised shoot for a “home video” of a Cain family Christmas party to be scheduled in November. The date of this shoot is more flexible, and can be scheduled around cast members’ conflicts.
Location: The home of Sara and Jeremiah Michael, 5785 S. Lakeview St. in Littleton, 80120
Rehearsal Dates: I am willing to work around actors’ schedules, but the days I have set aside for rehearsals are Sun Oct 18th thru Thurs Oct 22nd, so all actors must have some availability within that time frame.
Info/Conflict sheets will be supplied at auditions.
CHARACTERS:
Holly: 30’s, an artist, single, independent, outspoken and fiercely protective of her siblings.
Tom: brother to Holly and Jill, late 20s, a writer for a hip men’s magazine, a quick-witted cad with a big heart.
Jill: sister to Holly and Tom, 30s, strong in her faith in God, a bit emotionally repressed but extremely kind, intelligent and giving - would give you the shirt off her back, with a small sermon tucked into the pocket.
Alex: Her husband, 40s, a chronic out-of-work alcoholic who has allowed hopelessness to take over, often taking it out on Jill. Killed in a drunk-driving accident, he is presented in the “home videos” section of the film only.
Jean: Their mother, 50s-late 60s, also strong in her faith, kind and loving, a rock to her family
Sam: Their father, 60s – 70s, handsome, with a small-time criminal past and an infectious charm that hides a sociopathic nature
Wanda: Their cousin, 20s, funky, has no reservations about saying the word “dildo” at a memorial service.
Mark: Her boyfriend, 20s-30s
Katy: Alex’s sister, 30s, a small-town woman, remorseful about not being there enough for her brother, feels guilt over his death.
Donna: Alex’s mother, 60s – 70s, a tired woman, stunned and confused over her son’s death.
Friends and Family: Guests at Alex’s memorial service, as well as Christmas party guests in the “home video” portion of the film.

Hey David. for sure. We are going to start out small, couple actor scenes. Guided more at good quality reel material. The first scene we are doing is casted already. What type of genre or characters do you want to tackle?? If you have a character from a film that you want to tackle, we will look at the scene then write a script round that character. Our goal is to help actors and crew develop and create reel quality along the way. Its a little more detailed than that, but that is the "short" version
thanks for your interest
