Hey, I'm Thomas Lofstrom. I've owned and operated a motion picture production and service company in Boulder since 1983. I have worked as talent in radio, television, and film. I am a journalist and engineer by trade. I've crewed and provided support services for a few dozen feature films, and have three International Film Awards for my own productions, in addition to a CableACE award and an Associated Press award. My work is mostly nonfiction. I have a small, transportable HD Multicam studio, featuring professional support gear. Jibs, dollies, track, lighting, sound, staging, editing, and Blu-Ray disk production. I have produced large live events for broadcast, managing crews of 100+. Having the technical and production services in place, I'm looking for ideas, scripts, treatments, and talent to provide High Definition content, preferably serials, to network media outlets. I aspire and continue to build a community and network of artists and professionals interested in quality presentations.
Hi Everyone!
My name is Sarah R. Lotfi I was born in California, but have lived in Colorado for most of my life.

Please visit my website www.sarahrlotfi.net to see more of my work. My focus is producing and directing but I enjoy costume design and storyboarding as well. In addition to my own endeavors I have also worked freelance on local productions.

I formed White Cloud Films in 2006 and have been producing shorts ever since. Most recently my shorts Tudor Rose and The Last Bogatyr (www.thelastbogatyr.com) have gone onto festivals.

White Cloud Films is proud partners with Cool Channel Films and Liquid Desert LLC. We are preparing to embark on our first feature Menschen set in the last days of WW2 this spring anticipating to enter production in 2011.

I was a former member of CASA on the old site and I look forward to joining this expanding network of artists and professionals in this community. I am in the process of finishing my degree in Digital Filmmaking and Film Studies at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Best Regards,
Sarah R. Lotfi
Hi I'm Kris Hipps, co-producer of Papercat Films. I am seeking a DP for a feature-length horror film I'm shooting in Denver and Estes Park this summer, and would like any recommendations. Alas, my fave DP, Gary Otte, has left us for LA! He shot my last three films and I need a new fave DP -- would prefer someone with their own equipment.

Just learned about CASA today and thought I'd jump in. I feel like I work in a hole and don't know anyone who is doing anything around here! Thanks to everyone for sharing what's going on.

I'm Tom Khazoyan. I lead a not-for-profit film production company called 10X Productions. We specialize in cross-cultural stories. Our latest major project, a feature called The Enemy God is in various stages of distribution (depending on what country you live in.) We made the film a couple years ago, had a fun festival run, and now are patiently waiting for our sales agent to work their way through the markets with our unique but not-obviously-commercial film.

My background is in pretty much everything to do with film, video, and multimedia production. I worked for 15 years in Southern California as a Producer, Director, DP/Operator, and Editor for low-budget TV commercials and lots of non-broadcast projects - usually for large corporate clients. Toward the end of my time in So Cal I produced and directed a teen educational series and was Assoc Producer/UPM for another dramatic teen series.

I moved to CO 11 years ago to begin work with the forerunner of my current organization. I produced a lot of short documentaries, traveling to something like 30 countries in the process.

I founded 10X Productions in 2005 to help facilitate the production of The Enemy God. I functioned as one of the Exec Producers, along with actually producing and editing the film. As we are a small team, of course, I am also driving marketing and distribution, social media, repairing gear, shipping DVDs, etc. Very glamorous stuff when you peek behind the curtain!

We are all about collaboration. Our focus now is less in producing another feature as it is working with emerging filmmakers in this country and overseas to help them increase their capacity as visual storytellers in their context.
Hi! My name is Mark McGinnis and, along with my wife Kim, own Avenstar Productions. We're relatively new to Colorado. Previously I had a marketing/ad agency in Hollywood CA, and did everything from TV pilots to educational films, to shorts - but primarily good old fashioned corporate industrials -which paid the bills. It took me a while to realized that spending 2.5 hours on the 405 and/or 101 each day was just not fun anymore. Not to mention you can't throw a rock without hitting someone in the film business out there. So now we absolutely love Colorado - you all keep this place a great secret - promise not to tell too many other Californians how nice it is here - honest!

We are mid-way through production on a docudrama called "Shamshara". A non-denominational spiritual / motivational journey with a cast of about 30 or so. Some interviews some reenactments… basically think "What the Bleep" and "The Secret" but a lot more fun and entertaining. For 6 months we have been shooting in multiple states around the country. For this project we're shooting primarily on Canon 5D's with very small crews.

I'm looking forward to meeting other producers, writers, and anyone that shares the passion of film making. I've learned a lot - mostly by doing things wrong in the first place - but welcome the opportunity to support/advice others with their projects - as well as learn from you all.
Hello To All The Great Talent Here! I'm Bill Greene from Producers Ink, LLC and Roaring Success Radio Hour.

I especially excited to introduce everyone here to Roaring Success Radio Hour - which is a new weekly online radio program about the film & television business here in Colorado - and nationally. I produce and co-host the show with SAG Actor & Coach Paul Neal Rohrer, who is an amazing talent. We bring on industry guests as it's a 'behind the scenes' look at our business - FOR the business. Also, we only take on Sponsors who are in the business as well - so it's great visibility if anyone wants some great PR.

As a Producer, I've been working here for 19 years - starting in Feature Films as a PA/Extra/Stand In - and moving in to commercial, corporate, and documentary work. Love to DP, edit (Final Cut Pro Studio 2), direct, and of course, produce. Spent a year in Nashville in 2005 where I produced large crew/budget tv spots - and previously worked as a Producer/Editor for the US Fed Goverment as a contractor. Most recently, I've served as Producer/Post Producer for sport programming such as Benelli's Dream Hunts with Lee Horsley, Western Sportfishing with Lee Horsley, Lip'em & Rip'em with Lefty Larsen, and All-Star Anglers (nz).

A main component of Producers Ink, LLC is to create pilots and pitch programming to cable networks. Should anyone here have a project they'd like to develop - I'm here to help. Looking forward to meeting YOU and having producers on my radio show. Check it out!
Hello fellow producers & directors, my name is Michael Ryan Sr. I joined CASA at the recommendation of my long-time
friend and associate, Kent Gunnufson. He told me that it would be a great place to socialize and network with like-
minded individuals devoted to creative work in the film and television mediums. So here I am. I'm open to collaboration
with others and would like to meet and associate with others who are working to create either narrative or documentary
films & television. I don't pretend to know it all, and lack serious Hollywood experience, but I have actively worked in
film and television production for most of my adult life, amounting to over 40 years. I'm now semi-retired, but I am still a
filmmaker who usually produces, directs, and self-finances his own projects.

While my main background has been in documentary film and video for television, I have recently been moving more and more away from television. My current interest is in producing Independent Features on 35mm film. This past year
I produced my first 35mm short, entitled: "The Man Who Loved Movies." It won the 2010 Bronze Telly award in
national competition with other short documentary-style films. So I am still active in film and not a "pipe-dreamer" but
I have more or less stopped producing 16mm films and video because of changes in the marketplace.

My producing career began by making filmed documentaries for KRMA Public Television, later I shot a number of
filmed documentaries in Latin America, one for national television in South America. Later I worked for a while as a
community producer for Denver's old DCTV, where I met Kent. I briefly attended the American Film Institute in L.A.
in the 1970's. I may have produced as many as 50 shows for cable television in Denver. Since my experience began
mostly before the era of "film schools" I learned working in film laboratories and television stations, becoming a
professionally trained and experienced producer, cinematographer, and film editor. My experience goes all the way
back to the 1960's when we did many shows on film. I became a "pioneer" in Denver's early color television.

Today I am looking to meet young people interested in the creative work of film production, free of the limitation of
needing to make a living doing it. I am interested in meeting young actors and actresses who are motivated to do the
work necessary to get a theatrical-quality narrative film made. I also have an interest in the ideas of young writers.
I'm not an actor and my writing experience has largely been scripts for documentary television films and videos.
Yes, I have experience with digital editing and production techniques, but I come from a different era and as an older
guy am more interested in exploring my roots and applying my knowledge to make real motion pictures. I do keep-up
the new trends in filmmaking and as evidence of that I have attended the meetings, screenings, and equipment trade
fair at Paramount Studios each year for the last couple of years. So I know what's going on; it always seems to come-
down to a quality story and dedicated excellence in production art and craftsmanship, and it always has.
Welcome Michael, good to see you here. One thing you didn't mention that I think the group will be interested in is that you have your own 35mm Arri camera, 35mm projector and other production equipment to do what you are talking about.
I can hardly wait to see what will result from this.
Berg Imaging has been around since sometime before 2000 when we started producing a made-for-Internet soap opera titled "City's Edge" that was written, cast, and produced completely in Denver. "City's Edge" was made from 2000-2004, releasing 26 online episodes that ended up being distributed to 31 countries! Quite a few of the CASA old-timers worked on this show.

Since then, I've turned my attentions to other projects; short films like "finis' (2010)", "Shaqani (2009)" and the near-feature-length "Orthogenesis (2005)", to name a few. (You can see "finis'" at the first-ever Mile High Horror Film Festival, October 22 and 23, 2010 at the Starz Filmcenter!)

I've been in the production community in Denver since 1987, and have been a board member and the President of the Colorado Film & Video Association since 2006.

"Misogyny" (a powerful psychological thriller/slasher) is our first full-length feature to get funded for production here in Denver and I am very excited about it. The script has been kicking around in some form or another for nearly five years now, and it's exciting to see it come to the surface.

Visit our website at http://www.bergimaging.com for a list of our projects and other fun stuff!

I'm Erich Toll, and I've been a writer/producer since 1994.

I'm founder of Champion Communications, a Colorado video production company, where we do production for corporate, non-profit and government clients, because it's fun and it pays. Just for fun, I write and direct theater at Theater Company of Lafayette, Hitching Post, and others.

In 2007 I founded Engaging Training, which makes funny customer service training videos, and in 1994, I founded Big World Media, which enabled me to fly around the world and make cross cultural educational videos.

I regularly hire DPs, editors, sound mixers and of course actors, so please say hello!

I am developing a new entertainment technology called LIVIES™. I would love to collaborate with others of unlimited vision.

LIVIES had its genesis when the creator of the new show, Lon Van Eaton was a recording artist/performer/composer and was produced by Beatle George Harrison on the Beatles’ Apple Records label in London. The profound experience of working and performing with George, Ringo and John inspired the 21 year old Van Eaton and set the future path for his life.
