Hi I am Michael Bliss and I am an artist who loves the Arts. I am an artist, filmmaker who does it all. I have produced an art music and film festival called The Blissfest. Currently working on Blissfest 5. What a great site.
Thanks,
Michael Bliss
The more I am involved in filmmaking the more I thirst to immerse in it. The people, the skills, the talent, the responsibilities, the technology and most importantly, the art are facets of producing. If you produce, you're fortunate, as you probably already know. Thanks for sharing in this forum!
Hello, this is Mark Jeremy Mitten. I live up in Dacono, just north of Denver. I am an actor (independent & student films) and singer-songwriter (folk/acoustic). I have also written a screenplay (western, 103 pages) which I would like to see turned into an indie film (and have requested help in this forum!) This summer, I plan on expanding it into a novel and pursuing publication.

I have spent most of my life in Colorado, and my heart is in these Rocky Mountains. I've climbed almost all the 14ers, am a technical rock climber, and have been enjoying snow-ascents of the peaks more and more.

Hello to everyone here!
Hey Mark,
Would you mind if I looked at your screenplay? I love reading new works.

Hey Sam,
I have to warn you a little about the film making community in Denver, it is not LA! You may have to work at it a little in this town. I've been here a year and I have to say, I tried getting into a couple of things but most went nowhere. Not that I am busting on this town or the folks in this town because I'm not. I'm just saying that if you are planning on getting into the scene here, it's different.
Also if you like Romantic Comedies, you may be in luck. There are allot of those going on out here. (personally, I don't care for them)
Anyway, good luck and I am hoping the best for you. Me, I'm moving back to Vegas around the time you are coming in to town.
Hello,
I am Macleish Day and I wanted to join the producers corner because they are the reason that films get off the ground and there the ones that need to get all things necessary for a film to work. I myself one day would like to produce my own works and maybe get the word out that I (performer) can make my own projects happen with the right people and all. I look forward to hearing discussions about the producing world.

Hi, I'm Chris Vincent (and you're not--boy does that tell my age.)

I've often wondered how producers get involved in a project, become passionate about it, and then find the money to actually make a movie. This seems like an impossible task (raising the bucks to make something people may or may not want to see). Perhaps I can get some feedback from some of you to learn more about the business. That would be great. By the way, Macleish, I would love to send you one my stories if you are still interested. Or anybody else for that matter. Belieive me, I would be really grateful for any comments or critiques. Then maybe if you like it, feel passionate about it, you can get with some of the others on this page and make it into a movie. (But I got a feeling it ain't that easy!)

Cheers.

Hello all,

My name is Dalaina Kay Chester and I am recent college graduate and as well new to Denver. I am a working actor but love the business side of film... If I had my dream job it would a casting director! On that note do guys have any tips on how to get to that side, or know of any assistant jobs that I could take to learn the ropes! I am so glad that you are here to make the arts a more enjoyable love! Best wishes and Thanks!

Hello Everyone...

My name is Ken Mostek, and I am Vice-President of YogaDog Studios here in Denver. We are a small independent film company. I am currently in pre-production for my next feature "Andover High." It's about an Hispanic senior in high school who lives a comfortable, diverse lifestyle. He is forced to move with his father to rural, all-white America. He has to find a way to fit in, find friends, but most importantly, graduate.

I know that producing is one of the most important facets to making films, and I am currently looking for producers who would like to help out with my next project. If you, or someone you know, may be interested, could you please contact me. We are planning to start photography in February 2010, so we have a little time to get everything ready before shooting.

Thank you,

Ken Mostek

My name is Lewis Leslie.

I am the founder of Under Fire Studios. I keep telling myself I'm not a producer, then co-producing all my projects. I am a writer/director who has one project in post at the moment (feature film "Killer Ink" featuring Peter Mayhew aka Chewbacca) and 2 in pre-production (short film "The Initiation of Professor Kimmer" and the feature film "The Diary of Melvin Sanborn") more info at www.underfirestudios.com and at www.killerinkmovie.com

I have met lots of great people in the film industry in Denver over the past few years, and look forward to meeting, and working with, more and more. If anyone can help find distribution for "Killer Ink" (horror/serial killer) I would love to talk with you.

Sincerely,
Lewis Leslie
Hello,

I'm Christopher Vickers, and I've been writing a science fiction series (rather obsessively) for the last 24 years. I began with stories from age 15 to about age 30 (original drafts lost), and have begun to write screenplays only within the past four our five years. I have somewhere in the area of 20 completed, 2 of which are movies, and the others are one-hour episodes. I'm seeking a producer to help with getting the project off the ground and on the air.
