Do any of you know anyone (other than me) who uses a Miller tripod?
If you're not aware, Miller is a small company from Australia that makes really good high end support gear and pretty decent lower level gear. I have one of their entry-level tripods and would love to talk to someone else around here who does.
Thanks,
Todd.

Permalink Reply by Todd Bradley on January 9, 2012 at 4:19pm Thanks Ken. That tripod is so far above and beyond the one I have that I'm sure it's awesome in ways their entry-level tripod could never be (so, in other words, thanks for the offer but that won't be necessary). The reason I was asking is that my DS-10 seems to require too heavy of a touch, like there's drag even when the drag is turned off. Is that just how it's designed or is it broken? I have no idea.
In the end, I just decided to mail the head in to the manufacturer and have them look at it. If they get back to me and say "well, it seems fine to us" then I'll just sell the thing and get a lighter head from a different manufacturer. Or if they say it's messed up, then they can fix it since the thing is still under warranty for another couple weeks.
