I'm Jim Brennan. I have been a musician and songwriter for over 25 years. I began composing/scoring instrumental works about 7 years ago. I entered some pieces into some contests, but never won. I have written pieces for piano, string quartet, ensemble, orchestra and modern bands.

I found after a couple of years that scoring a film is a very different animal, and decided to pursue other aspects of film making more aggressively.

But I still noodle now and again. I compose with Finale Allegro (which I can no longer run on any of my current machines) and sequence with an Alesis QS-6
Cool keyboard, Jim. Years ago, I had an Alesis QuadraSynth Plus Piano, which was the predecessor to the QS-6 and had the largest piano sample set of any ROMpler keyboard at the time. It sounded awesome, and I think I used it on 2 of my band's CDs.
It was a great value for the money. If I had stuck with it, I probably would have started buying E-MU synth modules, since I don't really "play" the piano very well.

If anyone is interested, I have some of the pieces I wrote (using the Alesis) on my page.
I still have a rack mounted E-Max here in the studio, how sad is that ???
Cant find anything that compares the the otcamondi pipe organ, so I keep it around like a sick pet.
Oh yeah, I am Haylar Garcia, musician, songwriter, lyricist for many years. Still write when I feel the need, score and sound design are of great interest to me, although I find not every musician (including myself) is wired for that kind of work. Still as a musician it fascinates me. We also own a post audio and recording studio here in denver

I'm Erik Lassi and I'm an audio engineer that found out that he like to compose. I've written mostly classical music, but I've scored a couple of commercials/PSAs for radio. Haven't been doing this kind of work for a while now, but I'm finding myself wiping the dust off my rig and blowing the dust bunnies out of my DAW case.

I use SONAR 5 producer's version, GoldWave, Finale for scoring, and I've got a couple of Proteus boxes and a Korg T1 to noodle on.
Hey Everybody! My name is David Bergner and I'm an aspiring film composer and songwriter. I've been writing songs since I was 13 years old, and I graduated last spring from Occidental College in L.A. with a B.A. in Music Composition (and Psychology, interestingly enough). I won a handful of awards at Occidental, including 1st place for outstanding work in music composition (for a piece called "Echo Symmetry", available to hear on my profile page), and 1st place for outstanding work in electroacoustic music composition (for a piece called "You're Ugly, Chainsaw!", also available on my profile page). I've scored numerous undergrad and graduate films over the past 5 years, and am in the process of making them publicly viewable/listenable on the web. I just posted one called "Clone @ Home" to my CASA profile page.

Music has always been my passion, and I'm hoping to build a career in music. I'm always looking for projects to work on, opportunities to collaborate, and chances to challenge myself by try something new! I use Logic Studio and Sibelius. Thanks for reading!
Hi everyone.
My name is Don Martineau and I've been a musician and composer for years. ( I first started recording with MIDI on an Atari Mega Computer ST2 for all you computer geeks)
I have done music for modern dance, theater and commercial video. I haven't worked on much in some time, due to going back to school and moving around a bit. I've dedicated myself to my music and working in the film industry so I'm very eager to meet new people and get crackin' on some new projects.

I'm do instrumental music and have very eclectic tastes and that tends to turn up in my music. Visit my site donmartineau.com for samples of some of my work.

I also have done a bit of engineering, sound design and audio sweetening for anyone looking for some cheap labor!! :-)

I've been a singer-songwriter of acoustic/folk music for 7 years, and I have been asked to do the musical score for a feature-length film--a western, indie project by Film Forge Studios of Conifer. I'll be doing acoustic instrumentals, with harmonica and fiddle, and vocals for the main theme song.

On my page, I've posted several of my original songs, including a film score demo track (instrumental). I'd love to have the opportunity to do more music for other films.

Hi!

I'm LeiLeigh West. I am a singer/songwriter. I've been writing music all my life. In my younger years I focused on contemporary classical pieces. I've won many MTNA composition awards. Including 1st runner up nationally in '02. Now a days I mostly write pop/pop rock/rap/experimental/etc. songs. I am not a professional songwriter yet, but I will be. If you are looking for a song for a film, let me know I can write in any genre. :)

I also play piano, guitar, and am pretty good at protools.

I've very glad to be a part of this community and I look forward to getting to know all you guys. :)
Hi, LeiLeigh. I liked the two songs you posted to the CASA site. I'll go check out your other sites now, too.
Hello, everyone!

I would like to introduce myself.

In addition to my full-time work as a network TV producer and my part-time work as a voice actor, I am also a fledgling theatrical sound designer. I've worked on 9 or 10 community theater productions in the Denver area over the last few years. Primarily, I select and edit royalty-free music and sound effects from an extensive set of sound libraries I have licensed. Occasionally I create original sound effects and simple original music cues. (I play keyboards and have very rudimentary knowledge of composing, but I'm definitely not at a professional level as a musician or a composer.) I have several synthesizers and a theremin and several different software programs including ProTools LE and CuePlayer premium.

In February and March of 2010, I am designing sound for three different theater productions: "Moon Over Buffalo" for the Park Arts Council, and both "The Foreigner" and "The Sword In The Stone" for the 73rd Avenue Theater Company.

I look forward to getting acquainted with members of this group.
