Shamshara Needs More Actors and Actresses

This is the second posting for this film. If you have auditioned for us - THANK YOU! You have either been cast, will be cast, or that is still to be determined. If you have auditioned, we do not need to see you again. We have some very specific roles which still need to be filled. But first please see what our film is about below:

Avenstar Productions and Simple Happy, LLC are currently in production for Shamshara, an independent
feature filming in the Denver/Boulder area. Shamshara is a spiritual film, but much more. Imagine The Way of the Peaceful Warrior
meets What the Bleep Do We Know.
Amazing, real-life, inspirational stories are being re-enacted. This
film is in the process of being primed for major distribution so it is
an excellent opportunity for any actor/actress who not only wants
professional footage for his/her reel, but the chance to be seen by
millions of people.

Roles (these roles are based on real people so they are specific) we need to fill:

DOCTOR: 40s -60s, male, caucasian, fit, caring, professional. The actor must be able to act professional and caring, and then frantic and scared in the next moment.

MOTHER: 30s-40s - female, Dark Hair, Brown eyes (preferred), caucasian, fit, Pretty. Mother is bringing her 15 year old son to the doctor's office for a sore throat, but things go terribly wrong. This actress must have an ability to tap into strong emotion and display strong motherly instincts.

GANGSTER: 20s-40s: male, any ethnicity, large/muscular, intimidating. This actor must have to ability to inflict fear. The actor will be asked to handle a prop gun.

SPIRITUAL MASTERS: Varied Actors and Actresses, any ethnicity, 30s - 60s, fit, strong calming influence, intense eyes, and a powerful and highly intelligent presence.

We are looking for actors and actresses who are real - No overacting please! Audition sides will not be given out before the audition. We want to see your eyes (don't bury your head in the sides-look in the camera as much as possible). We want to know that you have the ability to improvise.

This is a non-paying film, but actors will receive professional footage for their reels.

Audition:
Various times on Friday and Saturday, April 9 and 10 in Broomfield, Colorado.
