Colorado Actors Scripts And Films
Free Support and Outreach for Colorado's Filmmaking Community
I, along with Bill (WC Whitney) are forming a screenwriters group that will meet monthly to discuss and learn the art of screenwriting. Guest lecturers, Main Topics, and Script reviews. Interested? Please email me at markkrekeler@juno.com or call (303) 795-6700. We will send information soon. Hope to start in March 2012.
Would you like to meet LATE MORNING , EARLY AFTERNOON, or EVENINGS? Personally I like any daytime schedule.
All writer levels are welcome. Any actors and directors are welcome. Actors needed if we do a "table read."

I am interested in participating with your screenwriting group. I also act in short films and community theatre. Weekends great for daytime gatherings.

I would be interested in attending a screenwriters group meeting, but I have a ful-time job that makes attending the regular 12:00 - 1:30 meetings on Tuesdays impossible. I have developed a script that runs around 130 minutes that I had had in mind to write for around 14 years before finally putting it to paper. I realize that it is in need of some modifications, as I was unable to fully develop at least one character in the script, and need to tie up some loose ends throughout the length of the screenplay, but overall, I feel that the final product has a fair amount of merit and I hesitate to simply shelve the whole thing because I couldn't put the final touches on it. I would be interested in a night or weekend schedule for the meeting, so that I could work it in with my schedule.
Please let me know if you get the group together.

Just want you to know that we're a really open group and we share scripts with each other all the time. Mark and I are bouncing back and forth a few.
If you'd like in our little feedback loop, I'd be happy to take a look at your script and offer some notes. If you feel more comfortable just forwarding your first 30 pages, that's fine too.
Hope to see you sometime...(maybe you can take a long lunch one day).
