Reminder - Denver film "Ink" opens tonight (13th) at Starz Film Center

This is one you are not going to want to miss. I have seen the film about 10 times now and I still enjoy it now as much as the first time I saw it. Even if it doesn't look like your "kind of movie" - you will be blown away by what is possible in independent cinema with so little money. This film is simply amazing. Jamin and Kiowa will be at all the screenings this weekend for Q&As. Please support Colorado film and see this.

Just got back from seeing INK. I can't begin to tell you how fantastic this film was. My family and I loved it so much we decided to stay and see the 7pm show. Unfortunately for us, it was sold out. I just purchsed more tickets for Sunday's show. You'll be kicking yourself later if you don't see this incredible film!!!!!

Jeff and I had the great fortune of seeing INK last night and we both gave the film two thumbs and two big toes up. WOW!!!

Sci Fi / Fantasy happens to be my favorite genre and I've seen A LOT of these films. What I saw last night blew me away.

It's hard to believe that this isn't a big budget movie. IMHO, this movie blows "The Matrix" away when it comes to the creative use of special effects. I saw things last night that sent exclamation marks swirling around my head! Add in the soundtrack born of creative genius and Whoa! what a great ride.

By the way, the acting in this movie is flawless. One of the drawbacks of some indies is the occasional distraction of an actor falling out of character with a poorly delivered line. Nope, not in this movie. You'll fall in love with the characters and never once be betrayed by their actor. Bravo to the brilliant actors and their director.

This movie is not only a feast for the eyes and ears but one for the mind as well. I love it when I can't guess the ending and I certainly didn't see that one coming. I've already reserved a space in my DVD Collection right next to The Matrix, Sixth Sense and Fight Club. Meanwhile, I'm going online and booking a second viewing before it leaves town. A heads up to all of you who haven't seen this movie... the more people who see this, the more people who will be coming back for seconds. Buy tickets while you can.

Even if SciFi/Fantasy isn't your thing, you still have a chance to witness the cusp of fame. You'll be able to tell friends and family that you saw this movie before it was even picked up for distribution. You'll be able to meet Jamin and Kiowa in person before they become a household word in all the Entertainment rags. The actors were so brilliant, their performances in INK are sure to launch their careers into the stratosphere.

If that's still not enough to convince you to see INK, remember... thanks to Jamin and Kiowa's dedication to Colorado's filmmaking community, we have an opportunity to show the world our massive reserves of talent and potential. Help us help DoubleEdgeFilms.com ride the wave to a great distribution deal -- buy tickets and spread the word.

Hey, what's up with the tagline on INK's IMDb page? "Roger Whitman is just another bolt in the office machine. Closed off and detached his world is bleak and unsettling; the only bright light in his life is Connie the receptionist."

errr.... uhhh... that doesn't seem right.

The synopsis looks good though. Here it is...

"As the light fades and the city goes to sleep, two forces emerge. They are invisible to us except for the power they exert over us in our sleep. These two groups battle for our souls through our dreams. One force supports our hopes and gives us strength through good dreams. The other force leads us toward desperation through our nightmares.
"

It goes on from there but contains spoilers and I wouldn't want to ruin the fun.

There was a mix-up awhile where imdb accidentially merged a short film "Ink" with the feature version. Looks like they are still trying to get everything cleaned up and for all of you out there who know the pain of working with imdb, this could take forever. They have managed to clean up some of the mess, it used to be much worst.

Beth and I finally got to go see "Ink" last night. Mark was right when he said "you will be blown away". The film's run at Starz has been extended due to its popularity, and it's now showing through April 2. The theater was packed.

I was amazed at everything about this film. The technical aspects were masterful, the acting and directing were outstanding, and the story was phenomenal. This film is better than at least 80% of big budget fantasy films from Hollywood, and definitely deserves nationwide distribution.

Oh, and I just realized the soundtrack is available on Amazon.com for immediate download. I'll be listening to it all afternoon.

I'm glad this film is getting some of the recognition it deserves. Here is a story that ran on 9News the other day:
