MARKETING YOUR SERVICES & TALENTS ON CASA: Tips?

One of the primary intentions of CASA is to promote all facets of Colorado's Film & Theater Industry, so by all means, use this site to promote your talent and services.

What's the best way to go about this? Your profile page, a.k.a. My Page, is the key, but the solution is actually two-fold:

(1) customize and create a great MY PAGE and
(2) be active on the site.

Your activity draws people to your My Page.

Every time you change your profile page it will show up. Every time you add a friend, post comments, add a photo, video or blog, the activity shows up. Your posts to Forum and Corner Discussions, even comments on another member's wall will include your icon which links to your page. The likelihood that members (and even non-members) will click your icon and check you out increases dramatically every time you make a move on this site.

But, what good is all this activity if your profile page is ... blah.

Customize it! This is your point of sale! Your advertisement. You have about 2 seconds to grab their attention and keep it.

Add a Blog. If you have experience in the industry or you're an expert... share. Informative blogs that provide a service to the community or promote Colorado's success stories and that are appropriate for all ages are practically guaranteed to be featured on the main page, as well. That's Double exposure.

Add Videos Show off your acting, filmmaking, teaching, directing or writing style and create some interest. If they're presentable to a General audience and the quality promotes Colorado's talent there's a good chance they'll end up on the Main page.

Add Photos, Photo Albums, & Slide Shows: Be selective, add only the "best of the best" and avoid repetitiveness. If there are too many generic photos, you'll loose your audience. Entertain and wow your viewers. This is your business page, not a family album.

Add a Link to your website and don't forget to use the link tool in the edit tools bar. When you're finished check your link to make sure that it is functional. Sign out and check your link. Does it work? It should. Make sure this link is easy to locate; perhaps include it in more than one location on your page.
