Brilliant Actors and Actresses needed for our Independent 90-Minute Feature Film, "Shamshara"

Avenstar Productions and Simple Happy, LLC are currently in production for Shamshara, an independent feature filming in the Denver/Boulder area. Shamshara is a spiritual film, but much more. Imagine The Way of the Peaceful Warrior meets What the Bleep Do We Know. Amazing, real-life, inspirational stories are being re-enacted. This film is in the process of being primed for major distribution so it is an excellent opportunity for any actor/actress who not only wants professional footage for his/her reel, but the chance to be seen by millions of people.

We are looking for actors/actresses of all ages. All types and ethnicities needed. We also need 2 little boys ages 2-5 years old for a shoot on Monday and/or Tuesday, March 29.

Audition:
All day and possibly into the evening on Friday, March 26 in Broomfield, Colorado.
That's 2 days from now!!

Please contact me (Kim McGinnis) or my partner, Mark McGinnis through CASA, and we will fill you in on more details and the exact address of the audition. This is an opportunity to be a part of something really special.

Groovy. Eye M glad, and honored, U enjoy what the Creator has bestowed onto me that portrays anything of light.

I don't, however, hold auditions or go to them. I choose folks from their vibe, so if we ever meet perhaps you'll consier that method, but eye know there's more than one path leading to the same place, and my way might not be the way of another, which is all oky-dowky, too. =)

Here is a link to a nifty (super short) interview of myself that conveys that very idea: http://www.groovyfilms.biz/ProductionLive-ProductionLiveJohnHartman...

Eye figure the Great Spirit is the best looking of all, yaaaay! Peace, John.

Hi Debbie,

This is more on the film:

Dates of shooting are to be determined, but we will work around the actors' schedules. Shoot locations vary as well, although they will be in the Denver/Boulder area.

We will be holding auditions at our home in Broomfield, CO all day on Friday, March 26.

This is an open audition so you can come any time this Friday. You can call (see below)
or email me: kim@avenstar.net and I will give you the audition address. It's going to be at our home so I don't want the address to be public.

Here's a rundown of what the film is about:

Shamshara, the film...
Avenstar Production is currently filming a new project called “Shamshara,” a docudrama style feature-length film. Fortunately, the market for inspirational/spiritual type productions of this nature is stronger than ever. This is primarily because there are so few of these films being produced, especially ones offering high quality at a lower-end budget. Other recent successful films of this type include the following: The Secret, What The Bleep Do We Know!?, Compass, Awakening, and The Phenomenon. Though not a documentary, The Philistine Prophecy andThe Way of the Peaceful Warrior may also be included in this genre. Where other films of this genre have posed questions, Shamshara provides real-world answers.

The producers of this film are in tune with the plight that our targeted audience (the critical mass) is going through. This film is not intended for those already (or nearly) enlightened individuals, but for those that are lost, unhappy, and don't know where to ask for help. Our mission is to not only wake these people up, but to show them what to do once they are awake.
Why The Shamshara?
This is the era of the niche film and, with the unparalleled success of The Secret, audiences are eagerly seeking new productions to follow on the heels of this film phenomenon. Shamshara will deliver a heavy dose of satisfaction to these viewers because, more than just another docudrama, this is a compelling true story of one man’s (Andy Feld) personal quest to find happiness and purpose – even in the wake of personal loss, despair and heart-wrenching setbacks.
The ultimate tale of determination and redemption, this film chronicles Andy’s journey (along with several supporting true stories) of challenge and discovery, crossing boundaries where obstacles and opportunities can be easily confused. As the movie unfolds, Andy quickly realizes that the plight of humanity itself is tightly woven into his own story, one that will span two decades and cross into the magical realm between science and spirituality. Ultimately, who Andy turns to for help in altering the course of his own fate may also be humanity’s last hope for survival.
What Andy (and the other participants) propose as an answer to their suffering is what makes Shamshara stand out. What is the remedy to chaos and unhappiness? Stay tuned… the answers will be revealed when Shamshara is released.

There is nothing to prepare for Friday. More details will be given at the audition.

Wow!! I love the film idea. Times like this its easy to keep rolling with the negative. Negativity is very contagious, but so can be positivity. Look at the world as a whole. Some people with everything are misserable and those with little are the most happy. Its about finding what makes you happy. I know many people who can only see down the dark spiral of negativity because its easier to see negative than it is to search for positive. And I think soo many people can connect with this characters situation. Sometimes it seems people kick us when we are down, but we all have the power of the brain(which happens to be VERY powerful) to pull ourselves together and deterimination to rise up and keep fighting.

This is a project I would love to audition for but I am unavailable tomorrow and I am booked through July. If you are still filming into August please let me know. I would love to help out infront or behind the camera. Please keep me posted on your progress!!

Congrats and Break a leg!!
