Synopsis:

The short film, Astray, studies Alex Sullivan, whom upon coming back to the United States from South America is overwhelmed by the place he once called home.  Alex’s experiences in Ecuador are imprinted into his consciences and infiltrate his views, creating confusion and frustration about his privileged lifestyle. Becoming increasingly alienated, Alex is lost searching for an understanding of how to function in the world and is forced to come to terms with his new ideas.

Alex Sullivan is a white, young man caught in a transitional phase of his life.  Opinionated, anxious, alienated, but ultimately confused and unhappy with his new perspective.  He must overcome this state of mind in order to reintegrate into the world.
