Hey Everyone, Patrick Sheridan & Haylar Garcia here.
We are happy to announce below, a stunning line up for this month’s MASS FOCUS, including A WONDERFUL GUEST SPEAKER who can provide a wealth of knowledge and perspective about today’s film industry. SEE YOU THERE !
THE FILM
To get our creative juices flowing, we will open with Writer/Director Jack Gastebondo’s edgy animated short film “The Souvenir” which screened at the Denver Film Festival, Jack will be on hand for Q&A
THE SCENE WORK
We will be doing live cold-read scene work with actors chosen from the audience on a scene from the film “Jimmy Said” from Writer/Director Patrick Sheridan. After which we will perform the rehearsed scene and even the actual edited version from the film. Patrick will be on hand for discussion concerning the evolution of the cold read to the finished scene.
THE SCENE AUTOPSY
We will be viewing, dissecting and discussing the First date/Thanksgiving Scene from “Rocky”. Yeah… you read it right… Rocky.
MEET YOUR CASA COMMUNITY
We will invite members of the audience to come up on stage and tell us about their films, projects, expertise, needs , dreams or requests for advice. So if you have something to say, come on down and take the stage.
YOUR GUEST SPEAKER
You may know our guest speaker Trevor Pryce as one of your favorite former Denver Broncos, but what you may not know is that in addition to his ongoing career in the NFL, Trevor has, for quite some time, been a successful film & TV producer having sold and set up numerous projects in Hollywood. Trevor will be on hand to discuss the current state of the industry, the trails of pitching and generating the kind of material that studios will want to buy and greenlight.
MIXER
Time to approach, talk, plan, befriend and meet your community face to face.
So there it is, be there or be square. MASS FOCUS is kicking off 2010 with a dedication to providing you with real scene study, live connectivity with your CASA community and valuable professional guest speakers.

I'm glad to see the Ga coming back. I was rather busy for a while and when I looked to confirm the date and time for a GA, it was no more. Thanks for getting them back up!
